This project brought out all of my skills and gave me the full range of experience in one project: adding a new room to a client's home by converting a external screened in porch into a new room in the house with new windows, doors, insulation, new lighting, electric and heating and ac.
I started out my experience in construction when I was in college at the Corcoran College of Art in Washington DC. The foreman of the first crew I worked with, gave me the nickname of "the piano maker" because I took care in my work, and the crew was frankly a "smash and dash" troop hired by a sleazy real estate broker who was buying and flipping houses around the city.
